| CVE-2024-41023 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-10-21 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched/deadline: Fix task_struct reference leak During the execution of the following stress test with linux-rt: stress-ng --cyclic 30 --timeout 30 --minimize --quiet kmemleak frequently reported a memory leak concerning the task_struct: unreferenced object 0xffff8881305b8000 (size 16136): comm "stress-ng", pid 614, jiffies 4294883961 (age 286.412s) object hex dump (first 32 bytes): 02 40 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 .@.............. 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ debug hex dump (first 16 bytes): 53 09 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 S............... backtrace: [<00000000046b6790>] dup_task_struct+0x30/0x540 [<00000000c5ca0f0b>] copy_process+0x3d9/0x50e0 [<00000000ced59777>] kernel_clone+0xb0/0x770 [<00000000a50befdc>] __do_sys_clone+0xb6/0xf0 [<000000001dbf2008>] do_syscall_64+0x5d/0xf0 [<00000000552900ff>] entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x6e/0x76 The issue occurs in start_dl_timer(), which increments the task_struct reference count and sets a timer. The timer callback, dl_task_timer, is supposed to decrement the reference count upon expiration. However, if enqueue_task_dl() is called before the timer expires and cancels it, the reference count is not decremented, leading to the leak. This patch fixes the reference leak by ensuring the task_struct reference count is properly decremented when the timer is canceled. | ||||
| CVE-2024-41008 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: change vm->task_info handling This patch changes the handling and lifecycle of vm->task_info object. The major changes are: - vm->task_info is a dynamically allocated ptr now, and its uasge is reference counted. - introducing two new helper funcs for task_info lifecycle management - amdgpu_vm_get_task_info: reference counts up task_info before returning this info - amdgpu_vm_put_task_info: reference counts down task_info - last put to task_info() frees task_info from the vm. This patch also does logistical changes required for existing usage of vm->task_info. V2: Do not block all the prints when task_info not found (Felix) V3: Fixed review comments from Felix - Fix wrong indentation - No debug message for -ENOMEM - Add NULL check for task_info - Do not duplicate the debug messages (ti vs no ti) - Get first reference of task_info in vm_init(), put last in vm_fini() V4: Fixed review comments from Felix - fix double reference increment in create_task_info - change amdgpu_vm_get_task_info_pasid - additional changes in amdgpu_gem.c while porting | ||||
| CVE-2024-38608 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-10-21 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: Fix netif state handling mlx5e_suspend cleans resources only if netif_device_present() returns true. However, mlx5e_resume changes the state of netif, via mlx5e_nic_enable, only if reg_state == NETREG_REGISTERED. In the below case, the above leads to NULL-ptr Oops[1] and memory leaks: mlx5e_probe _mlx5e_resume mlx5e_attach_netdev mlx5e_nic_enable <-- netdev not reg, not calling netif_device_attach() register_netdev <-- failed for some reason. ERROR_FLOW: _mlx5e_suspend <-- netif_device_present return false, resources aren't freed :( Hence, clean resources in this case as well. | CVE-2026-86320 | 1 Redhat | 5 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Rhel E4s and 2 more | 2026-10-21 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in flatpak-builder where Git hooks are not disabled when applying patch sources with use-git-am: true. An attacker who can provide a malicious source containing a Git post-applypatch hook can cause the hook to execute on the host during the build process, resulting in arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the user running flatpak-builder. | ||||
| CVE-2026-80110 | 1 Redhat | 5 Certificate System, Dogtag Certificate System, Enterprise Linux and 2 more | 2026-10-21 | 8.1 High |
| A flaw was found in pki-core. The v2 REST ACL filter selects a tie-breaking permission for colliding literal and wildcard ACL keys using lexicographic string comparison rather than specificity, causing a wildcard-mapped permission to override a more specific literal-mapped permission when both match. In the CA's profile-management REST API this allows a request to POST /v2/profiles/raw -- intended to require Administrator-level profiles.create permission -- to instead be authorized under the lower-privileged profiles.approve permission held by the default Certificate Manager Agents group. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality and integrity of the certificate authority's issuance policy. | ||||
| CVE-2026-76561 | 1 Redhat | 5 Certificate System, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 2 more | 2026-10-21 | 7.2 High |
| A flaw was found in Dogtag PKI, as used by FreeIPA's certificate authority component. The certificate profile import functionality does not fully validate uploaded profile content beyond the profile ID. An authenticated user with CA Administrator privileges can exploit Dogtag's ExternalProcessConstraint mechanism to execute arbitrary commands with attacker-controlled environment variables, achieving code execution as the pkiuser account. | ||||
| CVE-2026-114236 | 1 Redhat | 19 Advanced Cluster Security, Ansible Automation Platform, Certifications and 16 more | 2026-10-21 | 3.3 Low |
| storage/pkg/archive.ApplyLayer and ApplyUncompressedLayer may, when processing corrupt or malicious inputs, leak a file descriptor; unbounded repeated calls can exhaust the process’ file descriptor limit | ||||
| CVE-2026-58224 | 2 Redhat, Samba | 5 Ceph Storage, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more | 2026-10-21 | 6.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in Samba's CTDB, the clustered database service used by Samba. Insufficient integrity validation of received CTDB protocol packets allows malformed packets containing invalid field lengths, improperly terminated strings, or inconsistent packet sizes to be processed without adequate bounds checking. A remote attacker with access to the CTDB private network may trigger a denial of service through process crashes or excessive memory consumption and, in limited cases, disclose adjacent memory contents. | ||||
| CVE-2026-110924 | 2 Openssh, Redhat | 4 Openssh, Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images and 1 more | 2026-10-21 | 4.8 Medium |
| CVE-2026-110924 has been marked as a duplicate of CVE-2026-106553. | ||||
| CVE-2026-84268 | 1 Redhat | 8 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Rhel Aus and 5 more | 2026-10-21 | 8.8 High |
| A flaw was found in the SFTP backend in gvfs. When mounting a share and reading a file, a malicious SFTP server can cause read_reply() to process a length that exceeds the size requested by the client. The function does not verify the server-provided length against the allocated buffer size, causing the operation to write past the intended boundaries. This issue allows a malicious server to corrupt adjacent heap memory in the gvfsd-sftp process, resulting in a denial of service as the process aborts upon detecting the heap corruption or potentially allowing arbitrary code execution. | ||||
| CVE-2026-18358 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus | 2026-10-20 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in gnome-remote-desktop as shipped in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. When the daemon is running in system mode with RDP enabled, the incoming connection handler bypasses the connection throttler, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to open many parallel pre-authentication connections to the RDP listener. This can accumulate accepted sockets and pending routing-token operations until timeout, exhausting resources and preventing legitimate users from establishing RDP sessions. This issue does not affect the upstream version. | ||||
| CVE-2026-88924 | 2 Gnome, Redhat | 5 Gvfs, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 2 more | 2026-10-20 | 7 High |
| A flaw was found in the admin backend of gvfs. The privileged gvfsd-admin daemon changes the ownership of newly created private D-Bus sockets by calling the link-following chown() function on a pathname inside a user-controlled directory. A local attacker can exploit this via a Time-of-Check Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) race condition and exchange the socket pathname with a symbolic link pointing to an arbitrary root-owned file (such as /etc/pam.d/su). The daemon subsequently follows the symlink and changes the ownership of the targeted root-owned file to the attacker's user ID. This allows an authenticated local attacker to modify critical system files, leading to a full local privilege escalation to root. | ||||
| CVE-2026-112177 | 2 Ghostscript, Redhat | 2 Ghostscript, Enterprise Linux | 2026-10-20 | 7.3 High |
| A flaw was found in Ghostscript as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8. The correction for CVE-2019-14869 was omitted during the rebase from version 9.25 to 9.27, leaving privileged .forceput operations in the .charkeys procedure insufficiently protected. Processing a specially crafted PostScript file may allow an attacker to bypass -dSAFER restrictions and access files outside the permitted paths or execute commands with the permissions of the Ghostscript process. | ||||
| CVE-2026-88252 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Sssd | 5 Sssd, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more | 2026-10-20 | 4.7 Medium |
| A flaw was found in sssd. A local user can cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by exhausting the responder service's available file descriptors (system handles used for open connections). By opening and maintaining many concurrent connections to a responder socket while continuing to queue new connection attempts, an attacker can trigger an unthrottled retry loop. This condition leads to high CPU utilization and stalls the service, preventing legitimate identity and authentication requests from being processed. | ||||
| CVE-2026-58379 | 2 Gimp, Redhat | 6 Gimp, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 3 more | 2026-10-20 | 7.3 High |
| A flaw was found in GIMP's Paint Shop Pro (PSP) file format parser. This heap buffer overflow vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause arbitrary code execution or a denial of service (DoS) by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted PSP image file. The vulnerability occurs because the software incorrectly calculates buffer sizes when processing low bit-depth images, leading to an overwrite of adjacent memory. | ||||
| CVE-2026-1961 | 3 Red Hat, Redhat, Theforeman | 7 Red Hat Satellite 6, Enterprise Linux, Satellite and 4 more | 2026-10-20 | 8 High |
| A flaw was found in Foreman. A remote attacker could exploit a command injection vulnerability in Foreman's WebSocket proxy implementation. This vulnerability arises from the system's use of unsanitized hostname values from compute resource providers when constructing shell commands. By operating a malicious compute resource server, an attacker could achieve remote code execution on the Foreman server when a user accesses VM VNC console functionality. This could lead to the compromise of sensitive credentials and the entire managed infrastructure. | ||||
| CVE-2026-113495 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2026-10-20 | 5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in cockpit-machines. Red Hat Subscription Management (RHSM) authentication tokens are passed as command-line arguments to background helper processes during image retrieval operations. A local, unprivileged attacker on a system permitting cross-user process inspection can view these arguments while the process is active. This flaw can lead to information disclosure, potentially allowing unauthorized access to RHSM resources within the token's validity period. | ||||
| CVE-2026-5680 | 2 Redhat, Undertow | 17 Apache Camel Hawtio, Build Of Apache Camel - Hawtio, Build Of Apache Camel For Spring Boot and 14 more | 2026-10-20 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in Undertow. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending specially crafted WebSocket messages with permessage-deflate negotiated. This could lead to excessive memory consumption due to the PerMessageDeflateFunction.largerBuffer() method using exponential doubling, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the affected application. | ||||
| CVE-2026-17615 | 1 Redhat | 21 Apache Camel Quarkus, Apicurio Registry, Build Keycloak and 18 more | 2026-10-20 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in RESTEasy's SourceProvider. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to perform an unauthenticated remote file read. By sending a specially crafted XML body with a DOCTYPE declaration referencing external entities to an endpoint that accepts application/xml and returns Source or StreamSource, the server can be tricked into resolving the entity and including sensitive file contents in the HTTP response. This is due to the SourceProvider.writeTo() method creating a SAXParser without disabling external entity resolution, leading to an XML External Entity (XXE) vulnerability. | ||||
| CVE-2026-86847 | 1 Redhat | 3 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openstack | 2026-10-20 | 6.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost vhost-crypto. Write-back chain cleanup can follow an uninitialized next pointer when mapping a guest descriptor fails, causing the host vhost-crypto process to hang or crash. | ||||
