CVE-2026-64541 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: fix UAF in smc_cdc_rx_handler() by pinning the socket smc_cdc_rx_handler() looks up the connection by token under the link group's conns_lock, drops the lock, and then dereferences conn and the smc_sock derived from it, ending in sock_hold(&smc->sk) inside smc_cdc_msg_recv(). No reference is held across the lock release. The only reference pinning the socket while the connection is discoverable in the link group is taken in smc_lgr_register_conn() (sock_hold) and dropped in __smc_lgr_unregister_conn() (sock_put), both under conns_lock. Once the handler drops conns_lock, a concurrent close() -> smc_release() -> smc_conn_free() -> smc_lgr_unregister_conn() can drop that reference and free the smc_sock, so the handler's later sock_hold() runs on freed memory: WARNING: lib/refcount.c:25 at refcount_warn_saturate Workqueue: rxe_wq do_work refcount_warn_saturate (lib/refcount.c:25) smc_cdc_msg_recv (net/smc/smc_cdc.c:430) smc_cdc_rx_handler (net/smc/smc_cdc.c:502) smc_wr_rx_tasklet_fn (net/smc/smc_wr.c:445) tasklet_action_common (kernel/softirq.c:938) handle_softirqs (kernel/softirq.c:622) Kernel panic - not syncing: panic_on_warn set Only SMC-R is affected. The SMC-D receive tasklet is stopped by tasklet_kill(&conn->rx_tsklet) in smc_conn_free() before the connection is unregistered, so it cannot run concurrently with the free. Take the socket reference while still holding conns_lock, so the registration reference can no longer be the last one, and drop it once the handler is done.
CVE-2026-64530 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: cls_api: Handle TC_ACT_CONSUMED in tcf_qevent_handle tcf_classify() can return TC_ACT_CONSUMED while the skb is held by the defragmentation engine (e.g. act_ct on out-of-order fragments). When that happens the skb is no longer owned by the caller and must not be touched again. tcf_qevent_handle() did not handle TC_ACT_CONSUMED: it fell through the switch and returned the skb to the caller as if classification had passed. The only qdisc that wires up qevents today is RED, via three call sites (qe_mark on RED_PROB_MARK/HARD_MARK, qe_early_drop on congestion_drop) red_enqueue() was continuing to operate on an skb it no longer owns in this case -- enqueueing it, dropping it, or updating statistics. Resulting in a UAF. tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1: red ... qevent early_drop block 10 tc filter add block 10 ... action ct (with ct defrag enabled and traffic that produces out-of-order fragments, e.g. a fragmented UDP stream) Handle TC_ACT_CONSUMED in tcf_qevent_handle() the same way the ingress and egress fast paths do: treat it as stolen and return NULL without touching the skb. Unlike the TC_ACT_STOLEN case, the skb must not be dropped/freed here, as it is no longer owned by us.
CVE-2026-64510 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPI: NFIT: core: Fix acpi_nfit_init() error cleanup If acpi_nfit_init() fails after adding the acpi_desc object to the acpi_descs list, that object is never removed from that list because the acpi_nfit_shutdown() devm action is not added for the NFIT device in that case. Next, the acpi_nfit_init() failure causes acpi_nfit_probe() to fail, the acpi_desc object is freed, and a dangling pointer is left behind in the acpi_descs. Any subsequent ACPI Machine Check Exception will trigger nfit_handle_mce() which iterates over acpi_descs and so a use-after-free will occur. Moreover, if acpi_nfit_probe() returns 0 after installing a notify handler for the NFIT device and without allocating the acpi_desc object and setting the NFIT device's driver data pointer, the acpi_desc object will be allocated by acpi_nfit_update_notify() and acpi_nfit_init() will be called to initialize it. Regardless of whether or not acpi_nfit_init() fails in that case, the acpi_nfit_shutdown() devm action is not added for the NFIT device and acpi_desc is never removed from the acpi_descs list. If the acpi_desc object is freed subsequently on driver removal, any subsequent ACPI MCE will lead to a use-after-free like in the previous case. To address the first issue mentioned above, make acpi_nfit_probe() call acpi_nfit_shutdown() directly on acpi_nfit_init() failures and to address the other one, add a remove callback to the driver and make it call acpi_nfit_shutdown(). Also, since it is now possible to pass NULL to acpi_nfit_shutdown() or the acpi_desc object passed to it may not have been initialized, add checks against NULL for acpi_desc and its nvdimm_bus field to that function and make acpi_nfit_unregister() clear the latter after unregistering the NVDIMM bus.
CVE-2026-64420 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mfd: cros_ec: Delay dev_set_drvdata() until probe success If ec_device_probe() fails, cros_ec_class_release releases memory for the cros_ec_dev structure. However, because the drvdata was already set, sub-drivers like cros_ec_typec can still retrieve the stale pointer via the platform device. This leads to a use-after-free when cros_ec_typec attempts to access &typec->ec->ec->dev on a device that has already been released. Move dev_set_drvdata() to ensure that the pointer is only made available once all initialization steps have succeeded. sysfs: cannot create duplicate filename '/class/chromeos/cros_ec' Call trace: sysfs_do_create_link_sd+0x94/0xdc sysfs_create_link+0x30/0x44 device_add_class_symlinks+0x90/0x13c device_add+0xf0/0x50c ec_device_probe+0x150/0x4f0 platform_probe+0xa0/0xe0 ... CVE-2026-64408 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: bnep: pin L2CAP connection during netdev registration bnep_add_connection() reads the L2CAP connection without holding the channel lock, then passes its HCI device to register_netdev(). Controller teardown can clear and release that connection concurrently, leaving the network device registration path to dereference a freed parent device. Take a reference to the L2CAP connection while holding the channel lock. Retain it until register_netdev() has taken the parent device reference.
CVE-2026-64266 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: re-lock request before returning from fuse_ref_folio() fuse_ref_folio() unlocks the request but does not re-lock it before returning. fuse_chan_abort() can end the request and the async end callback (eg fuse_writepage_free()) can free the args while the subsequent copy chain logic after fuse_ref_folio() accesses them, leading to use-after-free issues. Fix this by locking the request in fuse_ref_folio() before returning.
CVE-2026-63975 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix possible crash on l2cap_ecred_conn_rsp If dcid is received for an already-assigned destination CID the spec requires that both channels to be discarded, but calling l2cap_chan_del may invalidate the tmp cursor created by list_for_each_entry_safe and in fact it is the wrong procedure as the chan->dcid may be assigned previously it really needs to be disconnected. Calling l2cap_chan_clone directly may still lead to l2cap_chan_del so instead schedule l2cap_chan_timeout with delay 0 to close the channel asynchronously.
CVE-2026-63970 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/virtio: bind uarg before filling zerocopy skb virtio_transport_send_pkt_info() allocates or reuses the zerocopy uarg before entering the send loop, but virtio_transport_alloc_skb() still fills the skb before it inherits that uarg. When fixed-buffer vectored zerocopy hits MAX_SKB_FRAGS, io_sg_from_iter() may partially attach managed frags and return -EMSGSIZE. The rollback path call kfree_skb() to free an skb that carries SKBFL_MANAGED_FRAG_REFS but no uarg, so skb_release_data() falls through to ordinary frag unref. Pass the uarg into virtio_transport_alloc_skb() and bind it immediately before virtio_transport_fill_skb(). This keeps control or no-payload skbs untouched while ensuring success and rollback share one lifetime rule.
CVE-2026-63946 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: fix UAF in iso_recv_frame iso_recv_frame reads conn->sk under iso_conn_lock but releases the lock before using sk, with no reference held. A concurrent iso_sock_kill() can free sk in that window, causing use-after-free on sk->sk_state and sock_queue_rcv_skb(). Fix by replacing the bare pointer read with iso_sock_hold(conn), which calls sock_hold() while the spinlock is held, atomically elevating the refcount before the lock drops. Add a drop_put label so sock_put() is called on all exit paths where the hold succeeded.
CVE-2026-63927 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: dwc2: Fix use after free in debug code We're not allowed to dereference "urb" after calling usb_hcd_giveback_urb() so save the urb->status ahead of time.
CVE-2026-63922 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: exthdrs: refresh nh after handling HAO option ip6_parse_tlv() caches skb_network_header(skb) in nh while walking IPv6 TLVs. ipv6_dest_hao() may call pskb_expand_head() for a cloned skb, which can move the skb head and invalidate the cached network header pointer. Refresh nh after ipv6_dest_hao() returns so any trailing padding or TLVs are parsed from the current skb head. This matches the existing pattern used in ip6_parse_tlv() after helpers that can modify skb header storage.
CVE-2026-63919 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: input: hold netns during deferred transport reinjection Transport-mode reinjection stores a struct net pointer in skb->cb and uses it later from xfrm_trans_reinject(). That pointer must stay valid until the deferred callback runs. Take a netns reference when queueing deferred reinjection work and drop it after the callback completes. Use maybe_get_net() so the queueing path does not revive a namespace that is already being torn down. This keeps the existing workqueue design and fixes the netns lifetime handling in one place for all users of xfrm_trans_queue_net().
CVE-2026-58099 1 Freebsd 1 Freebsd 2026-10-19 7 High
When copying knotes from a parent kqueue to a child, the copy code did not correctly exclude marker knotes (used internally to track list traversal position) before marking them as in-flux and releasing the kqueue lock. If another thread freed a marker while the lock was dropped, the subsequent in-flux decrement operated on freed memory. An unprivileged local user may be able to exploit these races to escalate privileges.
CVE-2026-110681 1 Rurban 1 Cpanel::json::xs 2026-10-19 N/A
Cpanel::JSON::XS versions before 4.80 for Perl use the parent interpreter's scalars from a parser object cloned into a new ithread. A parser object holds its callbacks and its incremental parse buffer as raw scalar pointers. When a thread is created, these are copied into the new interpreter unchanged, so the child's parser uses, and later frees, scalars that belong to the parent and may already have been freed there. A parser created before a thread starts and used inside it can call freed callbacks, corrupt reference counts and crash the process.
CVE-2026-63831 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mac802154: llsec: add skb_cow_data() before in-place crypto llsec_do_encrypt_unauth(), llsec_do_encrypt_auth(), llsec_do_decrypt_unauth(), and llsec_do_decrypt_auth() all perform in-place cryptographic transformations on skb data. They build a scatterlist with sg_init_one() pointing into the skb's linear data area and then pass the same scatterlist as both src and dst to the crypto API (e.g. crypto_skcipher_encrypt/decrypt, crypto_aead_encrypt/decrypt). On the RX path, __ieee802154_rx_handle_packet() clones the received skb before handing it to each subscriber via ieee802154_subif_frame(). The cloned skb shares the same underlying data buffer via reference counting. When llsec_do_decrypt() subsequently modifies this shared buffer in place, it corrupts data that other clones -- potentially belonging to other sockets or subsystems -- still reference. On the TX path, similar data sharing can occur when an skb's head has been cloned (skb_cloned() returns true). The fix is to call skb_cow_data() before performing any in-place crypto operation. skb_cow_data() ensures that the skb's data area is not shared: if the skb head is cloned or the data spans multiple fragments, it copies the data into a private buffer that can be safely modified in place. This is the same pattern used by: - ESP (net/ipv4/esp4.c, net/ipv6/esp6.c) - MACsec (drivers/net/macsec.c) - WireGuard (drivers/net/wireguard/receive.c) - TIPC (net/tipc/crypto.c) Without this guard, in-place crypto on shared skb data leads to: - Silent data corruption of other skb clones - Use-after-free when the crypto API scatterwalk writes through a page that has already been freed by another clone's kfree_skb() - Kernel crashes under concurrent 802.15.4 traffic with security enabled (KASAN/KMSAN reports slab-use-after-free) Found by 0sec (https://0sec.ai) using automated source analysis.

CVE-2026-63808 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: exfat: fix potential use-after-free in exfat_find_dir_entry() In exfat_find_dir_entry(), the buffer_head obtained from exfat_get_dentry() is released with brelse(bh) before the fall-through TYPE_EXTEND branch reads the directory entry through ep (which points into bh->b_data): brelse(bh); if (entry_type == TYPE_EXTEND) { ... len = exfat_extract_uni_name(ep, entry_uniname); ... } After brelse() drops our reference, nothing guarantees that the underlying page backing bh->b_data remains valid for the subsequent exfat_extract_uni_name() read. This is the same pattern fixed in commit fc961522ddbd ("exfat: Fix potential use after free in exfat_load_upcase_table()"). Move brelse(bh) so it runs after ep is no longer dereferenced on each branch. Confirmed on QEMU x86_64 with CONFIG_KASAN=y + CONFIG_DEBUG_PAGEALLOC=y + CONFIG_PAGE_POISONING=y on linux-next, using a crafted exFAT image (long filename with same-hash collisions forcing the TYPE_EXTEND path). With a debug-only invalidate_bdev() inserted between brelse(bh) and the ep read to make the stale-deref window deterministic, the unpatched kernel faults: BUG: KASAN: use-after-free in exfat_find_dir_entry+0x133b/0x15a0 BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ffff88801a5fa0c2 Oops: 0000 [#1] SMP DEBUG_PAGEALLOC KASAN NOPTI RIP: 0010:exfat_find_dir_entry+0x1188/0x15a0 With this patch applied, the same instrumented harness completes cleanly under the same sanitizer stack. I have not reproduced a crash on an uninstrumented kernel under ordinary reclaim; the instrumented A/B establishes the lifetime violation and that the patch closes it, not an unaided triggerability claim.
CVE-2026-63802 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-cgroup: fix UAF in __blkcg_rstat_flush() When multiple blkgs in the same blkcg are released concurrently, a use-after-free can occur. The race happens when one blkg's __blkcg_rstat_flush() removes another blkg's iostat entries via llist_del_all(). The second blkg sees an empty list and proceeds to free itself while the first is still iterating over its entries. Move the flush from __blkg_release() (RCU callback) to blkg_release() (before call_rcu). This ensures the RCU grace period waits for any concurrent flush's rcu_read_lock() section to complete before freeing.
CVE-2026-53399 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: release layout stid on setlease failure nfs4_alloc_stid() publishes the new stid into cl->cl_stateids via idr_alloc_cyclic() under cl_lock before returning to nfsd4_alloc_layout_stateid(). When nfsd4_layout_setlease() then fails, the error path frees the layout stateid directly with kmem_cache_free() without ever calling idr_remove(), leaving the IDR slot pointing at freed slab memory. Any subsequent IDR walker (states_show, client teardown) dereferences the dangling pointer. The correct teardown for an IDR-published stid is nfs4_put_stid(), which removes the IDR slot under cl_lock, dispatches sc_free (nfsd4_free_layout_stateid) to release ls->ls_file via nfsd4_close_layout(), and drops the nfs4_file reference in its tail. A second issue blocks that switch: nfsd4_free_layout_stateid() unconditionally inspects ls->ls_fence_work via delayed_work_pending() under ls_lock, but INIT_DELAYED_WORK(&ls->ls_fence_work, ...) currently runs only after the setlease call. On the setlease-failure path the destructor would touch an uninitialized delayed_work. nfsd4_alloc_layout_stateid() nfs4_alloc_stid() /* idr_alloc_cyclic under cl_lock */ nfsd4_layout_setlease() /* fails */ nfs4_put_stid() nfsd4_free_layout_stateid() delayed_work_pending(&ls->ls_fence_work) /* needs INIT */ nfsd4_close_layout() /* nfsd_file_put(ls->ls_file) */ put_nfs4_file() Fix by hoisting the ls_fenced / ls_fence_delay / INIT_DELAYED_WORK initialization above the nfsd4_layout_setlease() call, and replace the manual nfsd_file_put + put_nfs4_file + kmem_cache_free cleanup with a single nfs4_put_stid(stp).
CVE-2026-53275 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: Fix use-after-free when processing MLD queries When processing an MLD query, a pointer to the multicast group address is retrieved when initially parsing the packet. This pointer is later dereferenced without being reloaded despite the fact that the skb header might have been reallocated following the pskb_may_pull() calls, leading to a use-after-free [1].
