CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
namespace: keep covered mounts covered in OPEN_TREE_NAMESPACE
open_tree(OPEN_TREE_NAMESPACE) creates a new mount namespace from a
copy of the tree at the given path. The caller needs to be privileged
over its current user namespace because the new mount namespace will be
owned by it. It doesn't need to be privileged over the mount namespace
the tree is copied from. An unprivileged user just needs to create a
user namespace first.
The copy follows the rules of a detached bind mount. Without
AT_RECURSIVE only the mount itself is cloned and its children are left
out. With AT_RECURSIVE unbindable mounts are skipped. Both is fine when
the caller has privileges over the source mount namespace because it
could unmount those mounts anyway. Not so for an unprivileged user in
that mount namespace. For them a mount namespace copy is what unshare()
does. copy_mnt_ns() copies everything including unbindable mounts and
lock_mnt_tree() makes sure nothing can be unmounted in the copy. Nothing
that was covered gets revealed.
create_new_namespace() only does the locking and so the covered content
is right there in the new mount namespace:
# mount -t tmpfs none /tmp/otn; mkdir /tmp/otn/covered
# echo hidden > /tmp/otn/covered/under.txt
# mount -t tmpfs none /tmp/otn/covered
uid 1000, after unshare(CLONE_NEWUSER):
fd = open_tree(AT_FDCWD, "/tmp/otn", OPEN_TREE_NAMESPACE);
setns(fd, CLONE_NEWNS);
open("/covered/under.txt", O_RDONLY) -> "hidden"
Covering paths with mounts is how container runtimes mask parts of
/proc and /sys and how admins hide things.
When the caller's user namespace doesn't own the source mount namespace
copy the way unshare() does and refuse a non-recursive copy of a mount
that has anything mounted below the requested directory and copy
unbindable mounts in a recursive copy. A caller that is privileged over
the source mount namespace sees no change. |
| Postiz lets a signed-in user ask the backend to run a function on one of their connected channels. The backend did not restrict which functions can be requested, so a user could call internal helper functions that were never meant to be reachable from the web interface.
One of those helpers reads a file from the server's disk. A user who connects a channel whose stored token is a file path can have the backend return the contents of any file it can read, including its environment, which holds the secret used to sign login sessions, the database address and the credentials of connected services. Another helper makes the backend process exit with a single request. Self-registration is open by default, so no existing account and no action by another user is needed. |
| Vulnerability in the RDBMS component of Oracle Database Server. Supported versions that are affected are 23.4.0-23.26.3. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with access to the physical communication segment attached to the hardware where the RDBMS executes to compromise RDBMS. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of RDBMS. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 6.5 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:A/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). |
| An unauthenticated file write vulnerability exists in the PAPI protocol in AOS-8. Successful exploitation could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to make limited modifications to files on the affected system and to disrupt the availability of the affected service. |
| A local privilege escalation vulnerability in the optional dnscache package of Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) allows the Unix zimbra account to access files with root privileges. The passwordless sudo policy permits arbitrary arguments to zmunbound, whose wrapper forwards them to Unbound without restricting the configuration path. An attacker can supply a configuration that retains root privileges and disables the chroot. Include directives expose root-readable file contents through parser errors, while an attacker-selected logfile path creates a root-owned file or appends Unbound log records to an existing file. This can disclose password hashes and private keys and corrupt privileged configuration files, preventing affected services from starting with the modified configuration. The affected configuration is present in ZCS 10.1.16 and 10.1.21 dnscache packages. |
| A local privilege escalation vulnerability in the Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) MTA package allows the Unix zimbra account to execute arbitrary commands as root. The installed sudo policy permits passwordless root execution of Postfix administration commands without restricting their arguments. An attacker can select a zimbra-controlled daemon_directory in the Postfix configuration and invoke postfix set-permissions, causing Postfix to execute the attacker's post-install program as root. The Postfix configuration directory is also writable by zimbra, so restricting postconf alone does not remove the execution path. Exploitation requires local command execution as zimbra on an MTA node. ZCS 10.1.16 and 10.1.21 are affected. |
| The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser. From version 24.03 to before version 26.05, ExternalFilesDownloader.getFilename() extracts the destination filename from a server-supplied Content-Disposition response header and passes it directly to Path.resolve() without stripping directory components. This allows for a malicious HTTP server that the viewer fetches from to supply an absolute path or ../ traversal sequences as the filename, writing attacker-controlled content to an arbitrary path writable by the Tomcat process. When targeting the deployed web-application directory, this yields remote code execution as the tomcat OS user. This issue has been patched in version 26.05. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vsock/virtio: account only unread bytes in read_skb()
After a partial stream receive, rx_bytes tracks the unread suffix while
buf_used and peer credit still cover the whole packet.
virtio_transport_read_skb() dequeues that packet but passes pkt_len for
both counters, underflowing rx_bytes.
On a connected CID_LOCAL stream with an SK_SKB verdict, a 40-byte read
from a 100-byte packet made SIOCINQ report -40, an empty recv return
ELOOP, and poll report the empty socket readable. After verdict detach,
receiving 40 bytes wrapped the counter to zero and hid those queued bytes
until one more byte arrived. The fixed run kept the counter balanced
and exposed all queued data immediately.
This was found during an LLM-assisted manual source audit of VSOCK
receive accounting while re-evaluating virtio_transport_read_skb() after
CVE-2024-50169.
Subtract only skb->len minus the VSOCK offset from rx_bytes. Retain the
full packet length for buf_used and peer credit. |
| Overly permissive file permissions in AWS CLI before 1.44.78 (v1) and 2.34.29 (v2) on Unix-like systems where the umask has not been configured to restrict file permissions (the default on most systems) may allow other local users on the same host to read credentials written by certain CLI subcommands (aws codeartifact login, aws iam create-virtual-mfa-device, aws deploy register).
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to AWS CLI 1.44.78 (v1) or 2.34.29 (v2) or later. |
| Entire CLI hooks into Git workflows to capture AI agent sessions. Prior to version 0.7.7, a path traversal vulnerability in Entire CLI allows an attacker with push access to the checkpoints repository to craft malicious checkpoint metadata that causes entire session resume or entire checkpoint rewind to write attacker-controlled transcript data outside of the expected session directory. The issue occurs because checkpoint metadata is fetched from the remote entire/checkpoints/v1 branch and the SessionID field was used to construct filesystem paths without validation in the restore path. A malicious SessionID containing absolute paths or path traversal sequences could cause arbitrary files on the victim’s machine to be overwritten. This issue has been patched in version 0.7.7. |
| PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. From version 2.6.0 to before version 4.6.59, PraisonAI's template loader accepts GitHub template URIs with refs, for example github:owner/repo/template@v1.0.0. The resolver stores the user-controlled template path and ref verbatim, and the cache layer later joins those values into ~/.praison/cache/templates/github/<owner>/<repo>/<template>/<ref> without normalizing each segment or checking that the final path remains inside the template cache root. A crafted ref such as ../../../../../../outside-delete-target therefore escapes the cache directory. The first load can write .cache_meta.json outside the cache. If the normal cache hierarchy for the same owner/repo/template has already been created, the same path reaches shutil.rmtree(cache_path) and removes an attacker-selected outside directory before replacing it with cache metadata. This issue has been patched in version 4.6.59. |
| The Apache Airflow Keycloak provider's multi-team provisioning (`_attach_team_permissions`) granted every team role global read access to audit logs. Deployments that enable multi-team mode with the Keycloak auth manager and provision teams through it are affected: any authenticated member of one team could read other teams' audit events through the UI or the event-log API.
Users of apache-airflow-providers-keycloak are recommended to upgrade to apache-airflow-providers-keycloak 0.11.1 or later. |
| OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to version 26.1.11, the Firewall Alias GeoIP importer's process_zip() and process_gzip() paths in src/opnsense/scripts/filter/lib/alias/geoip.py use an unvalidated CSV country_code value to construct output filenames below /usr/local/share/GeoIP/alias. A user with Firewall Alias Edit privilege can configure an attacker-controlled GeoIP source URL and supply an archive whose country code traverses into another existing directory, causing attacker-controlled content to be written as root with an -IPv4 or -IPv6 suffix. A crafted newsyslog fragment and oversized log file can use the default hourly root cron job to execute commands as root, resulting in complete firewall compromise. This issue is fixed in version 26.1.11. |
| NoMachine Named Pipe Incorrect Permission Assignment Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of NoMachine. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the NoMachine Device Service. The issue results from incorrect permissions on a named pipe. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of SYSTEM. Was ZDI-CAN-31213. |
| MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, the #mysql50# bypass prefix is affected because it allows the #mysql50# prefix to bypass normal table-name filesystem encoding. An attacker can trigger the issue with a table name using the #mysql50# prefix, then use a #mysql50# table name to access files under their legacy unencoded name and cause crashes, data corruption, data exfiltration, or remote code execution. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2. |
| CGM CLININET is vulnerable to local privilege escalation. The service that processes incoming HL7 messages runs with root privileges, but due to incorrect permissions, its scripts and configuration files can be modified by the uhcapache user. An attacker with uhcapache privileges can modify these files to execute arbitrary code as root.
The vulnerability was confirmed to affect versions up to 2026.MS3 but later versions may also be vulnerable. |
| The CGM CLININET application stores the production database login and password, as well as RabbitMQ broker credentials, in the SysIO.pl configuration file. Insecure file permissions make this file readable by any local account.
This issue was fixed in version 2026.MS3 |
| F´ (F Prime) is a framework that enables development and deployment of spaceflight and other embedded software applications. Prior to 4.3.0, Svc::FileUplink handling of Fw::FilePacket::StartPacket destination paths FileUplink copies the packet-controlled destinationPath and opens it for writing without canonicalization or confinement to an upload directory. When a peer able to send file-uplink packets supplies an absolute, traversing, or otherwise attacker-selected writable destination path, files can be created or overwritten at attacker-selected writable filesystem locations, affecting integrity and potentially availability. This issue is fixed in version 4.3.0. |
| Rsyslog is a rocket-fast system for log processing. From versions 1.15.0 to 8.2610.0, rsyslog's omfile dynaFile facility intentionally allows templates to generate flexible output paths. This supports valid deployments that route logs into different directories or use dynamically generated file names. A deployment becomes unsafe when a dynaFile template uses a value influenced by untrusted input as a path component without explicit secure-path handling. In that configuration, the rendered path can escape the operator's intended log directory. This is not limited to the RFC5424 HOSTNAME field. Any untrusted value that reaches a dynaFile path component can create the condition. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches. |
| An issue in Systrome Validation & Certification 1.0 allows an attacker to cause a denial of service via the t URL parameter in the qrcode_auth.html component |
