CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
HID: steam: Refactor registration
This refactors and simplifies the registration/unregistration flow. Since
we now only perform registration when the client isn't opened anymore, the
logic for handling that can be removed, and the rest of the function
streamlined.
We also remove the previous assumption that we have a serial number to show
we're registered, replacing it with a single purpose boolean.
In a previous refactor the code for unregistering a battery if later
registration steps failed was accidentally left out. As a result, a
lingering power_supply object could get left over after the steam object
was torn down. This is also fixed here. |
| A vulnerability was found in Travisun Opptrix 0.4.0. Affected is the function Buffer.concat of the file /api/channels/webhook/ of the component preParsing handler. Performing a manipulation results in denial of service. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The project has been completely taken offline and deprecated. The project maintainer explains: "The mentioned security risk was a design flaw that manifested primarily in local environments during earlier stages of version development. We previously addressed and resolved this specific risk; however, because the project was restricted to a small learning scope and the main versions were intended to run exclusively on localhost, the security fix was only pushed directly to our GitHub repository before it went private." This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ASoC: fsl_micfil: balance mclk enable/disable
hw_params() enables mclk unconditionally and hw_free() disables it
unconditionally, but the PCM core does not guarantee 1:1 pairing:
hw_free() can run without hw_params(), and hw_params() can be called
multiple times from the SETUP state. This triggers an "already
disabled" WARN() in the first case and leaks an enable reference in
the second, leaving the clock ungateable.
Guard both sides with the existing mclk_flag, as fsl_sai.c does with
mclk_streams. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mmc: sdhci-sprd: disable runtime PM on remove
sdhci_sprd_probe() enables runtime PM, while sdhci_sprd_remove() does
not perform the corresponding runtime PM cleanup.
The probe failure path disables runtime PM before disabling the clocks,
but the normal remove path directly disables clocks that are also
managed by the runtime PM callbacks. If the device is runtime
suspended, those clocks may already be disabled.
Resume the device before removal, disable runtime PM and drop the
temporary runtime PM reference before disabling the clocks.
This issue was found by manual code inspection. |

| With its original introduction, GNTTAB_cache_flush was made available
uniformly. XSA-232 (CVE-2017-14318) then covered an omitted NULL
pointer check, yet the addition of that check failed to adjust the
subsequent error path. That error path fails to drop a page reference in
case the specified page is owned by a special system domain (DOM_IO and
DOM_COW are system domains which can have memory pages assigned to them.) |
| multer is a middleware for Node.js that handles multipart/form-data file uploads. In versions from 2.0.0 before 2.5.0, when multer is configured with an asynchronous fileFilter, a single request can crash the Node.js process. If the request is aborted while one file's asynchronous fileFilter is still pending, the pending callback later resumes a parsing stream that multer has already torn down, and the underlying parser emits an error on a stream that no longer has an error listener, which Node raises as an unhandled error event so the process exits. Any application using multer with an asynchronous fileFilter is affected regardless of storage engine, while uploads using a synchronous fileFilter are not affected. The issue is fixed in multer 2.5.0, and users should upgrade to 2.5.0 or later. As a workaround, use a synchronous fileFilter. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/mediatek: Fix ovl adaptor platform device leak
mtk_drm_probe() creates an OVL adaptor platform device with
platform_device_register_data() when the display pipeline requires the
OVL adaptor.
If a later initialization step fails, the probe error path releases
the DRM resources without unregistering the already registered OVL
adaptor device. The normal remove path likewise leaves the device
registered after the DRM driver is unbound.
Keep track of whether the OVL adaptor was successfully registered and
unregister it on probe failure. Also recover the platform device from
the stored DDP component device and unregister it during normal
removal.
The issue was identified by a static analysis tool I developed and
confirmed by manual review. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: nl80211: clean up color-change beacon data on errors
nl80211_color_change() calls nl80211_parse_beacon() for the beacon_next
template, which can allocate params.beacon_next.mbssid_ies and .rnr_ies.
A parsing failure returned directly instead of using the out: cleanup,
leaking any allocations completed before the error.
Allocate the nested attribute table before parsing beacon_next. Its
allocation failure can then return before beacon data exists, while a
later parsing failure uses out: to release the parsed data. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vsock: don't check the listener's sk_err in vsock_accept()
Syzbot reported an issue which can be reproduced with these steps:
r0 = socket(AF_VSOCK, SOCK_STREAM, 0)
bind(r0, {VMADDR_CID_ANY, PORT})
connect(r0, {VMADDR_CID_LOCAL, PORT}) -> -1, EPROTO (self-connect)
listen(r0, backlog) -> 0
r1 = socket(AF_VSOCK, SOCK_STREAM, 0)
connect(r1, {VMADDR_CID_LOCAL, PORT}) -> 0
accept(r0) -> -1, EPROTO (stale sk_err)
Basically, it creates a socket (r0) and triggers a self-connect after
binding it. This self-connect fails with EPROTO because it loops back
to r0 while the socket is still in the TCP_SYN_SENT state, causing it
to be incorrectly dispatched to the connecting-client path. The
unexpected packet type encountered there sets sk_err to EPROTO.
After that, it invokes a listen() call on the same socket. This
listen() call succeeds because the kernel's listening path never
inspects or clears sk_err. Then, a new socket (r1) is created as a
normal client and connects to r0. However, vsock_accept() rejects this
incoming connection because the listener's sk_err still holds the
EPROTO error from the earlier failed self-connect.
This rejection causes the child socket created for r1's connection to
never be freed on virtio or hyperv transports; only the VMCI transport
implements pending_work to revisit and clean up a rejected socket.
For a non-blocking connect(), vsock_connect() may return -EINPROGRESS
immediately, and vsock_connect_timeout() can later set sk->sk_err
asynchronously.
Since no vsock transport ever sets sk_err on a socket while it is in
TCP_LISTEN state, checking it in vsock_accept() serves no purpose and
only carries forward errors left behind by earlier, unrelated
connection attempts on the same socket. Remove the checks so accept()
no longer rejects valid incoming connections because of a stale
error, which also avoids the resource leak described above. |
| A vulnerability was found in Eleveo Quality Management 9.7.0. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file /enc-fwk-data/api/v3/conversations/<ID>/events of the component Conversation Handler. The manipulation of the argument labels results in denial of service. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: rt2x00: avoid full teardown before work setup in probe
rt2x00lib_probe_dev() uses the full rt2x00lib_remove_dev() teardown for
all probe failures. However, drv_data allocation and workqueue allocation
can fail before intf_work, autowakeup_work and sleep_work have been
initialized.
Do not enter the full remove path until the probe has reached the point
where those work items are set up. Return directly for drv_data allocation
failure, and use a small early cleanup path for workqueue allocation
failure.
This issue was found by our static analysis tool and then confirmed by
manual review of rt2x00lib_probe_dev() and rt2x00lib_remove_dev(). The
early probe exits should not call a common teardown path that assumes the
later work setup has already completed.
A QEMU PoC forced alloc_ordered_workqueue() to fail before the work
initializers are reached. The resulting fail path entered
rt2x00lib_remove_dev(), and DEBUG_OBJECTS reported invalid work drains with
rt2x00lib_probe_dev() and rt2x00lib_remove_dev() in the stack. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sctp: close UDP tunnel sockets during netns teardown
proc_sctp_do_udp_port() starts per-net SCTP UDP tunneling sockets when
net.sctp.udp_port is set, and stops/restarts them when the sysctl value
changes. The netns exit path does not stop these sockets, so a namespace
can be torn down while its SCTP UDP tunnel sockets are still installed.
Close the UDP tunnel sockets from sctp_ctrlsock_exit() after unregistering
the per-net sysctl table. This prevents new sysctl writes from racing in
while the sockets are being released, and closes the sockets before the
control socket is destroyed. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
HID: wacom: stop hardware after post-start probe failures
wacom_parse_and_register() starts HID hardware before registering inputs
and initializing pad LEDs/remotes. Those later steps can fail, but their
error paths currently release Wacom resources without stopping the HID
hardware.
Route post-hid_hw_start() failures through hid_hw_stop() before
releasing driver resources.
This issue was identified during our ongoing static-analysis research while
reviewing kernel code. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
md/md-llbitmap: fix percpu_ref not resurrected on suspend timeout
When llbitmap_suspend_timeout() times out waiting for percpu_ref to
become zero, it returns -ETIMEDOUT without resurrecting the percpu_ref.
The caller (md_llbitmap_daemon_fn) then continues to the next page
without calling llbitmap_resume(), leaving the percpu_ref in a killed
state permanently.
Fix this by resurrecting the percpu_ref before returning the error,
ensuring the page control structure remains usable for subsequent
operations. |
| A security flaw has been discovered in sgl-project SGLang up to 0.5.19. Affected is the function WeightExporter.send_weights_to_remote_instance of the file python/sglang/srt/model_executor/model_runner_components/weight_exporter.py of the component Weight Exporter. Performing a manipulation of the argument group_name results in denial of service. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The pull request to fix this issue awaits acceptance. |
