CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: ip6t_rt: fix zero-address non-strict match out-of-bounds read
rt_mt6_check() permits rules to be configured with rtinfo->addrnr == 0
even when address matching (IP6T_RT_FST_MASK) is requested.
In the IP6T_RT_FST_NSTRICT path, rt_mt6() evaluates packet routing
addresses against rtinfo->addrs[i] and terminates backwards at the bottom
of the loop:
if (ipv6_addr_equal(ap, &rtinfo->addrs[i])) {
i++;
}
if (i == rtinfo->addrnr)
break;
When addrnr is 0, if the first packet address matches rtinfo->addrs[0],
i is incremented to 1. Because i is now strictly greater than addrnr (0),
the loop termination condition (i == rtinfo->addrnr) is bypassed and will
never be satisfied.
If a crafted IPv6 packet contains matching routing addresses, i will
advance past IP6T_RT_HOPS (16). The subsequent call to ipv6_addr_equal()
reads beyond struct ip6t_rt, triggering UBSAN/KASAN out-of-bounds warnings
or kernel panics.
Fix this by:
1. Rejecting rules in rt_mt6_check() where IP6T_RT_FST_MASK is set but
rtinfo->addrnr is zero.
2. In rt_mt6(), moving the termination condition (i < rtinfo->addrnr)
into the for-loop header condition and removing the backwards break
at the end of the loop body. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb: client: fix create context out-of-bounds reads
smb2_parse_contexts() validates the complete create-context area but
does not limit each record to its Next field before dispatching it. A
malformed chain can therefore expose bytes beyond the current context to
a handler. The QFid handler also used a full response-structure cast
although it only reads DiskFileId.
The SMB2/SMB3 lease parsers made the same layout assumption: they read
LeaseState and LeaseFlags at canonical offsets rather than at
DataOffset. A valid non-canonical DataOffset could therefore yield
unrelated in-bounds data, while a short DataLength was still accepted.
Limit each context to its Next value, reject offsets before the context
header, and reject malformed chains. Bound the name range by the current
context and do not dispatch a known handler when DataLength is zero. Read
the QFid DiskFileId only when the context data covers that field. Parse the
lease context from DataOffset and require DataLength to match the v1 or v2
lease_context size used by ksmbd. A size mismatch skips lease parsing
without failing the open. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb: client: fix missing iov bounds check in parse_posix_sids()
In parse_posix_sids(), sidsbuf_end is calculated using the server-supplied
out_len without being validated against the actual length of the received
iov (iov_len).
If a server provides an inflated out_len, sidsbuf_end will point past the
end of the iov. This defeats the bounds guards in posix_info_sid_size(),
allowing out-of-bounds reads into adjacent kernel memory.
Fix this by rejecting responses where the calculated sidsbuf_end would
exceed the received iov boundaries or cause pointer wraparound. |

net: iptunnel: fix stale transport header during tunnel decapsulation

transport_header offset after tunnel decapsulation.

tun_get_user (drivers/net/tun.c:1986 (discriminator 1))
tun_chr_write_iter (drivers/net/tun.c:2032)
The issue is completely latent until qdisc read transport header in
commit 7fb4c1967011 ("net: pull headers in qdisc_pkt_len_segs_init()").
The crash requires four conditions to line up:
1. The incoming packet is encapsulated and carries GSO metadata. The outer
transport header offset is stored in skb->transport_header while the
packet is still in the outer tunnel context.
2. The tunnel receiver strips the outer headers. skb->data is advanced to
the inner frame, but skb->transport_header is left pointing to the
now-removed outer L4 header, so it becomes a negative offset relative to
the new data.
3. The inner frame is not delivered to the local IP stack. Instead, it
is forwarded at L2 by a bridge or HSR, so ip_rcv_core() never runs and
the transport header is not reset to the inner L4 offset.
4. The forwarding path calls __dev_queue_xmit(), which enters
qdisc_pkt_len_segs_init(). That function computes the GSO header length
from skb_transport_offset(skb). Because the offset is negative, the
unsigned cast overflows and pskb_may_pull(skb, hdr_len +
sizeof(struct tcphdr)) reads past the end of the skb, triggering a
KASAN fault or page fault.
The issue specifically requires GSO packets (shinfo->gso_size != 0), which
are processed/aggregated through gro_cells. Fix this by clearing
transport_header to the ~0U sentinel in gro_cell for all tunnnel driver.
GTP does not support GRO/GSO, drop the evil GSO packets in GTP directly. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Reject dev-bound-only programs on other devices
__bpf_offload_dev_match() falls back to comparing offdev pointers after an
exact netdev mismatch. Bound-only programs normally have NULL offdevs, so
unrelated netdevs compare equal. A bound-only program on an
offload-registered netdev can instead inherit a real offdev and match a
sibling port. With CAP_BPF and CAP_NET_ADMIN, a caller can use
bpf(BPF_LINK_CREATE) with a different target ifindex to run metadata kfuncs
specialized for the bound driver on the target driver's xdp_buff. Running a
veth-bound program on tun reads beyond tun's bare stack xdp_buff as a
veth_xdp_buff.
Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Use array_map_meta_equal for percpu array inner map replacement
percpu_array_map_ops.map_meta_equal points to the generic
bpf_map_meta_equal(), which does not compare max_entries. When a
percpu array serves as an inner map, replacing it with one that has
fewer max_entries bypasses the check. Since percpu_array_map_gen_lookup()
inlines the original template's index_mask as a JIT immediate, a lookup
on the replacement map can access pptrs[] out of bounds.
Point percpu_array_map_ops.map_meta_equal to array_map_meta_equal(),
which already enforces the max_entries equality check.
Add a selftest to verify that replacing a percpu array inner map with
a differently-sized one is rejected. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Office Word allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Ghidra before 12.2 contains a numeric truncation vulnerability in PackedDecode::skipAttribute and skipAttributeRemaining in marshal.cc that stores 64-bit string lengths in 32-bit variables. Attackers can supply a crafted packed stream, such as a malicious .sla file, to inject attributes into the decompiler's input or crash the decompiler process. |
| Improper Validation of Consistency within Input vulnerability in Erlang OTP ssl (tls_handshake_1_3, ssl_handshake and tls_client_ticket_store modules) allows a malicious TLS 1.3 server to cause a denial of service of the ssl application on the client node.
The TLS 1.3 client decodes the extensions of a NewSessionTicket message as if they came from EncryptedExtensions. It therefore accepts a 0-length early_data extension, a form that is only valid in ClientHello and EncryptedExtensions. With {session_tickets, auto}, the client stores the ticket in the node-global tls_client_ticket_store. On the next automatic resumption, tls_handshake_1_3:get_max_early_data/1 crashes the store with a case_clause. Repeated crashes can exceed the restart intensity of the ssl supervisors, which use the rest_for_one strategy, and take down ssl for all connections on the node.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 23.3 before OTP 27.3.4.19, OTP 28.5.0.8, and OTP 29.1.2, corresponding to ssl from 10.3 before 11.2.12.14, 11.6.0.7, and 11.7.8. |

| open62541 1.5.0 before 1.5.7 contains an integer overflow in UA_DataType_fromStructureDescription() that wraps the 16-bit memSize field for large custom structure definitions. A malicious OPC UA server can supply DataType definitions via UA_Client_getRemoteDataTypes(), causing decodeBinaryStructure() to overflow the heap, crashing clients or enabling code execution. |
| OpenResty lua-resty-dns before 0.24 contains an improper input validation vulnerability in parse_section() and _decode_name() that fails to check resource record lengths against the received message. Attackers controlling or spoofing a queried nameserver can send truncated record headers or RDATA, raising uncaught Lua exceptions in resolver:query() that abort requests and break name resolution. |
