CWE-611: Improper Restriction of XML External Entity Reference vulnerability exists that could
cause manipulation of SOAP API calls and XML external entities injection resulting in unauthorized file access
when the server is accessed via the network using an application account. |
| Lucee Server (or simply Lucee) is a dynamic, Java based, tag and scripting language used for rapid web application development. The Lucee REST endpoint is vulnerable to RCE via an XML XXE attack. This vulnerability is fixed in Lucee 5.4.3.2, 5.3.12.1, 5.3.7.59, 5.3.8.236, and 5.3.9.173. |
| Improper authentication in the API authentication middleware of HCL DevOps Loop allows authentication tokens to be accepted without proper validation of their expiration and cryptographic signature. As a result, an attacker could potentially use expired or tampered tokens to gain unauthorized access to sensitive resources and perform actions with elevated privileges. |
| tar-fs provides filesystem bindings for tar-stream. Versions prior to 3.1.1, 2.1.3, and 1.16.5 are vulnerable to symlink validation bypass if the destination directory is predictable with a specific tarball. This issue has been patched in version 3.1.1, 2.1.4, and 1.16.6. A workaround involves using the ignore option on non files/directories. |
| Vickey is a Misskey-based microblogging platform. A vulnerability exists in Vickey prior to version 2025.10.0 where unexpired email confirmation links can be reused multiple times to send repeated confirmation emails to a verified email address. Under certain conditions, a verified email address could receive repeated confirmation messages if the verification link was accessed multiple times. This issue may result in unintended email traffic but does not expose user data. The issue was addressed in version 2025.10.0 by improving validation logic to ensure verification links behave as expected after completion. |
| astral-tokio-tar is a tar archive reading/writing library for async Rust. In versions 0.5.3 and earlier of astral-tokio-tar, tar archives may extract outside of their intended destination directory when using the Entry::unpack_in_raw API. Additionally, the Entry::allow_external_symlinks control (which defaults to true) could be bypassed via a pair of symlinks that individually point within the destination but combine to point outside of it. These behaviors could be used individually or combined to bypass the intended security control of limiting extraction to the given directory. This in turn would allow an attacker with a malicious tar archive to perform an arbitrary file write and potentially pivot into code execution. This issue has been patched in version 0.5.4. There is no workaround other than upgrading. |
| A UNIX Symbolic Link (Symlink) Following vulnerability in logrotate config in the exim package allowed privilege escalation from mail user/group to root. This issue affects Tumbleweed: from ? before 4.98.2-lp156.248.1. |
| Cairo through 1.18.4, as used in Poppler through 25.08.0, has an "unscaled->face == NULL" assertion failure for _cairo_ft_unscaled_font_fini in cairo-ft-font.c. |
| Improper Restriction of XML External Entity Reference vulnerability in OpenText™ Operations Bridge Manager allows Input Data Manipulation.
The vulnerability could be exploited to confidential information
This issue affects Operations Bridge Manager: 2017.05, 2017.11, 2018.05, 2018.11, 2019.05, 2019.11, 2020.05, 2020.10. |
| Sangfor Behavior Management System (also referred to as DC Management System in Chinese-language documentation) contains an XML external entity (XXE) injection vulnerability in the /src/sangforindex endpoint. A remote unauthenticated attacker can submit crafted XML data containing external entity definitions, leading to potential disclosure of internal files, server-side request forgery (SSRF), or other impacts depending on parser behavior. The vulnerability is due to improper configuration of the XML parser, which allows resolution of external entities without restriction. This product is now integrated into their IAM (Internet Access Management) platform and an affected version range is undefined. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-09-06 UTC. |
| The XWiki JIRA extension provides various integration points between XWiki and JIRA (macros, UI, CKEditor plugin). If the JIRA macro is installed, any logged in XWiki user could edit his/her user profile wiki page and use that JIRA macro, specifying a fake JIRA URL that returns an XML specifying a DOCTYPE pointing to a local file on the XWiki server host and displaying that file's content in one of the returned JIRA fields (such as the summary or description for example). The vulnerability has been patched in the JIRA Extension v8.6.5. |
| Due to improper JSON Web Tokens implementation an unauthenticated remote attacker can guess a valid session ID and therefore impersonate a user to gain full access. |
| ALBEDO Telecom Net.Time - PTP/NTP clock (Serial No. NBC0081P) software release 1.4.4 is vulnerable to an insufficient session expiration vulnerability, which
could permit an attacker to transmit passwords over unencrypted
connections, resulting in the product becoming vulnerable to
interception. |
| Session Hijacking vulnerability in Hitachi Ops Center Analyzer. This issue affects Hitachi Ops Center Analyzer: from 10.0.0-00 before 11.0.1-00.
|
| In the Bentley ALIM Web application, certain configuration settings can cause exposure of a user's ALIM session token when the user attempts to download files. This is fixed in Assetwise ALIM Web 23.00.04.04 and Assetwise Information Integrity Server 23.00.02.03. |
| Improper restriction of XML external entity references vulnerability exists in FitNesse all releases, which allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to obtain sensitive information, alter data, or cause a denial-of-service (DoS) condition. |
| Judge0 is an open-source online code execution system. The application does not account for symlinks placed inside the sandbox directory, which can be leveraged by an attacker to write to arbitrary files and gain code execution outside of the sandbox. When executing a submission, Judge0 writes a `run_script` to the sandbox directory. The security issue is that an attacker can create a symbolic link (symlink) at the path `run_script` before this code is executed, resulting in the `f.write` writing to an arbitrary file on the unsandboxed system. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to overwrite scripts on the system and gain code execution outside of the sandbox.

| Judge0 is an open-source online code execution system. The application uses the UNIX chown command on an untrusted file within the sandbox. An attacker can abuse this by creating a symbolic link (symlink) to a file outside the sandbox, allowing the attacker to run chown on arbitrary files outside of the sandbox. This vulnerability is not impactful on it's own, but it can be used to bypass the patch for CVE-2024-28185 and obtain a complete sandbox escape. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.13.1. |
| `@digitalbazaar/zcap` provides JavaScript reference implementation for Authorization Capabilities. Prior to version 9.0.1, when invoking a capability with a chain depth of 2, i.e., it is delegated directly from the root capability, the `expires` property is not properly checked against the current date or other `date` param. This can allow invocations outside of the original intended time period. A zcap still cannot be invoked without being able to use the associated private key material. `@digitalbazaar/zcap` v9.0.1 fixes expiration checking. As a workaround, one may revoke a zcap at any time. |
| @festify/secure-session creates a secure stateless cookie session for Fastify. At the end of the request handling, it will encrypt all data in the session with a secret key and attach the ciphertext as a cookie value with the defined cookie name. After that, the session on the server side is destroyed. When an encrypted cookie with matching session name is provided with subsequent requests, it will decrypt the ciphertext to get the data. The plugin then creates a new session with the data in the ciphertext. Thus theoretically the web instance is still accessing the data from a server-side session, but technically that session is generated solely from a user provided cookie (which is assumed to be non-craftable because it is encrypted with a secret key not known to the user). The issue exists in the session removal process. In the delete function of the code, when the session is deleted, it is marked for deletion. However, if an attacker could gain access to the cookie, they could keep using it forever. Version 7.3.0 contains a patch for the issue. As a workaround, one may include a "last update" field in the session, and treat "old sessions" as expired. |
