| virtualenv is a tool for creating isolated virtual python environments. Prior to 21.14.2, FishActivator inherits ViaTemplateActivator.quote(), which uses POSIX shlex.quote() even though fish interprets backslashes and single quotes differently. An attacker-influenced environment path, --prompt, or VIRTUALENV_PROMPT value containing a backslash before a quote can therefore terminate the generated fish literal and execute command substitution when the user sources activate.fish. This issue is fixed in version 21.14.2. |
| Missing verification of source of a communication channel in the default_bucket() function in Amazon SageMaker Python SDK V3 before 3.10.0 and V2 before 2.257.3 might allow remote actors to achieve code execution in the target SageMaker execution environment and obtain IAM credentials via pre-creation of a predictably named S3 bucket that the SDK uses without ownership validation.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to Amazon SageMaker Python SDK 3.10.0 (V3) or 2.257.3 (V2). |

| A flaw was found in flatpak-builder where Git hooks are not disabled when applying patch sources with use-git-am: true. An attacker who can provide a malicious source containing a Git post-applypatch hook can cause the hook to execute on the host during the build process, resulting in arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the user running flatpak-builder. |

Prior to 21.14.9, POSIX xonsh activation quote() uses repr() to write printable non-ASCII prompt or destination data into UTF-8 activate.xsh, while xonsh can read that script using $XONSH_ENCODING. Under a legacy multibyte codec such as GBK or Big5, a UTF-8 trail byte can consume the backslash before an adjacent quote, allowing the literal to close and attacker-influenced statements to execute when the user sources the generated script. This issue is fixed in version 21.14.9. |
