CVSS v3.1 |
| A vulnerability in the FTP inspection engine of Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause an affected device to reload, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability exists because the affected software fails to release spinlocks when a device is running low on system memory, if the software is configured to apply FTP inspection and an access control rule to transit traffic, and the access control rule is associated with an FTP file policy. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a high rate of transit traffic through an affected device to cause a low-memory condition on the device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause a software panic on the affected device, which could cause the device to reload and result in a temporary DoS condition. |
| Proxygen lacked a generalized slow-consumer detection mechanism in its core HTTP session layer. A remote, unauthenticated attacker could exploit HTTP/2 flow-control by setting SETTINGS_INITIAL_WINDOW_SIZE to 0 or withholding WINDOW_UPDATE frames, causing the server to buffer complete response bodies in memory indefinitely for stalled streams. By opening many simultaneous streams requesting large resources while preventing the server from transmitting responses, an attacker could induce unbounded memory growth leading to service degradation, resource exhaustion, or denial of service. Versions v2017.01.16.00 through v2026.07.20.00 are affected. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rust_binder: use a u64 stride when cleaning up the offsets array
Allocation's Drop walks the offsets array (binder_size_t = u64 entries),
cleaning up the objects, but it used usize instead of u64 for both the
stride and the per-entry read.
On 64-bit kernels (usize == u64) this is harmless, but on 32-bit kernels
it walks the 8-byte entries in 4-byte steps, iterating an N-entry array
2N times, and reads the always-zero high word as offset 0, cleaning up
the object at offset 0 N extra times. As a result the referenced node or
handle ends up with a lower reference count than it actually has (a
refcount over-decrement), and binder's reference accounting is corrupted;
for example, the owner can be notified of a strong reference release
(BR_RELEASE) even though references still remain.
Change the stride to u64, and read each entry as a u64, narrowing it to
usize with try_into().
On 32-bit ARM, when this over-decrement would drive a count below zero,
the driver's existing refcount guard refuses it and fires:
rust_binder: Failure: refcount underflow! |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iio: accel: kxsd9: fix runtime PM imbalance on write_raw() error
kxsd9_write_raw() takes a runtime PM reference with pm_runtime_get_sync()
but returns -EINVAL directly when a scale with a non-zero integer part is
requested, skipping the matching pm_runtime_put_autosuspend(). This leaks
a runtime PM usage-counter reference on every such write, after which the
device can no longer autosuspend.
Set the error code and fall through to the existing put instead of
returning early. |
| When an affected product receives a valid CIP message from an unauthorized or unintended source to Port 2222/TCP, Port 2222/UDP, Port 44818/TCP, or Port 44818/UDP that instructs the CPU to stop logic execution and enter a fault state, a DoS can occur. This situation could cause loss of availability and a disruption of communication with other connected devices.

| In updateState of GraphicsDriverEnableAngleAsSystemDriverController.java, there is a possible persistent dos issue due to an unusual root cause. This could lead to local denial of service with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| IBM WebSphere Application Server - Liberty 19.0.0.7 through 26.0.0.5 and IBM WebSphere Application Server 9.0, and 8.5 and WebSphere Application Server Liberty are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by sending a specially-crafted request. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the server to consume memory resources. |
| The kex_input_kexinit function in kex.c in OpenSSH 6.x and 7.x through 7.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) by sending many duplicate KEXINIT requests. NOTE: a third party reports that "OpenSSH upstream does not consider this as a security issue." |
| Use-after-free vulnerability in the Peer Objects component (aka iepeers.dll) in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, 6 SP1, and 7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via vectors involving access to an invalid pointer after the deletion of an object, as exploited in the wild in March 2010, aka "Uninitialized Memory Corruption Vulnerability." |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: target: tcm_loop: Drain commands in target_reset handler
tcm_loop_target_reset() violates the SCSI EH contract: it returns SUCCESS
without draining any in-flight commands. The SCSI EH documentation
(scsi_eh.rst) requires that when a reset handler returns SUCCESS the driver
has made lower layers "forget about timed out scmds" and is ready for new
commands. Every other SCSI LLD (virtio_scsi, mpt3sas, ipr, scsi_debug,
mpi3mr) enforces this by draining or completing outstanding commands before
returning SUCCESS.
Because tcm_loop_target_reset() doesn't drain, the SCSI EH reuses in-flight
scsi_cmnd structures for recovery commands (e.g. TUR) while the target core
still has async completion work queued for the old se_cmd. The memset in
queuecommand zeroes se_lun and lun_ref_active, causing
transport_lun_remove_cmd() to skip its percpu_ref_put(). The leaked LUN
reference prevents transport_clear_lun_ref() from completing, hanging
configfs LUN unlink forever in D-state:
INFO: task rm:264 blocked for more than 122 seconds.
rm D 0 264 258 0x00004000

Fix this by making tcm_loop_target_reset() actually drain commands:
1. Issue TMR_LUN_RESET via tcm_loop_issue_tmr() to drain all commands that
the target core knows about (those not yet CMD_T_COMPLETE).
2. Use blk_mq_tagset_busy_iter() to iterate all started requests and
flush_work() on each se_cmd — this drains any deferred completion work
for commands that already had CMD_T_COMPLETE set before the TMR (which
the TMR skips via __target_check_io_state()). This is the same pattern
used by mpi3mr, scsi_debug, and libsas to drain outstanding commands
during reset. |
| Memory leak in a certain Red Hat patch, applied to vsftpd 2.0.5 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 and Fedora 6 through 8, and on Foresight Linux and rPath appliances, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a large number of CWD commands, as demonstrated by an attack on a daemon with the deny_file configuration option. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in Spotlight in Apple Mac OS X 10.4.11 allows user-assisted attackers to cause a denial of service (application termination) or execute arbitrary code via a crafted .XLS file that triggers memory corruption in the Microsoft Office Spotlight Importer. |
| The chrp_show_cpuinfo function (chrp/setup.c) in Linux kernel 2.4.21 through 2.6.18-53, when running on PowerPC, might allow local users to cause a denial of service (crash) via unknown vectors that cause the of_get_property function to fail, which triggers a NULL pointer dereference. |
| slapo-pcache (overlays/pcache.c) in slapd in OpenLDAP before 2.3.39, when running as a proxy-caching server, allocates memory using a malloc variant instead of calloc, which prevents an array from being initialized properly and might allow attackers to cause a denial of service (segmentation fault) via unknown vectors that prevent the array from being null terminated. |
| Microsoft Office 2003 allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) by attempting to insert a corrupted WMF file. |
| The internationalization (i18n) framework in Django 0.91, 0.95, 0.95.1, and 0.96, and as used in other products such as PyLucid, when the USE_I18N option and the i18n component are enabled, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via many HTTP requests with large Accept-Language headers. |
| The BDB backend for slapd in OpenLDAP before 2.3.36 allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (crash) via a potentially-successful modify operation with the NOOP control set to critical, possibly due to a double free vulnerability. |
| Apache SpamAssassin before 3.1.8 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via long URLs in malformed HTML, which triggers "massive memory usage." |
| Linux kernel before 2.6.22.17, when using certain drivers that register a fault handler that does not perform range checks, allows local users to access kernel memory via an out-of-range offset. |
| XM Easy Personal FTP Server 5.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service via a long argument to the NLST command, possibly involving the -al flags. |
