CVE-2025-7545 1 Gnu 1 Binutils 2026-05-12 5.3 Medium
A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in GNU Binutils 2.45. Affected by this vulnerability is the function copy_section of the file binutils/objcopy.c. The manipulation leads to heap-based buffer overflow. Attacking locally is a requirement. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The patch is named 08c3cbe5926e4d355b5cb70bbec2b1eeb40c2944. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue.
CVE-2025-47219 1 Gstreamer 1 Gstreamer 2026-05-12 8.1 High
In GStreamer through 1.26.1, the isomp4 plugin's qtdemux_parse_trak function may read past the end of a heap buffer while parsing an MP4 file, possibly leading to information disclosure.
CVE-2025-46836 2026-05-12 6.6 Medium
net-tools is a collection of programs that form the base set of the NET-3 networking distribution for the Linux operating system. Inn versions up to and including 2.10, the Linux network utilities (like ifconfig) from the net-tools package do not properly validate the structure of /proc files when showing interfaces. `get_name()` in `interface.c` copies interface labels from `/proc/net/dev` into a fixed 16-byte stack buffer without bounds checking, leading to possible arbitrary code execution or crash. The known attack path does not require privilege but also does not provide privilege escalation in this scenario. A patch is available and expected to be part of version 2.20.
CVE-2025-39719 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-05-12 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: imu: bno055: fix OOB access of hw_xlate array Fix a potential out-of-bounds array access of the hw_xlate array in bno055.c. In bno055_get_regmask(), hw_xlate was iterated over the length of the vals array instead of the length of the hw_xlate array. In the case of bno055_gyr_scale, the vals array is larger than the hw_xlate array, so this could result in an out-of-bounds access. In practice, this shouldn't happen though because a match should always be found which breaks out of the for loop before it iterates beyond the end of the hw_xlate array. By adding a new hw_xlate_len field to the bno055_sysfs_attr, we can be sure we are iterating over the correct length.
CVE-2025-39685 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-05-12 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: comedi: pcl726: Prevent invalid irq number The reproducer passed in an irq number(0x80008000) that was too large, which triggered the oob. Added an interrupt number check to prevent users from passing in an irq number that was too large. If `it->options[1]` is 31, then `1 << it->options[1]` is still invalid because it shifts a 1-bit into the sign bit (which is UB in C). Possible solutions include reducing the upper bound on the `it->options[1]` value to 30 or lower, or using `1U << it->options[1]`. The old code would just not attempt to request the IRQ if the `options[1]` value were invalid. And it would still configure the device without interrupts even if the call to `request_irq` returned an error. So it would be better to combine this test with the test below.

CVE-2025-38697 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-05-12 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: upper bound check of tree index in dbAllocAG When computing the tree index in dbAllocAG, we never check if we are out of bounds realative to the size of the stree. This could happen in a scenario where the filesystem metadata are corrupted.
CVE-2026-42046 1 Cacalabs 1 Libcaca 2026-05-12 7.8 High
libcaca is a colour ASCII art library. In 0.99.beta20 and earlier, an integer overflow vulnerability in libcaca's canvas import functionality allows an attacker to cause a controlled heap out-of-bounds write (heap overflow) by supplying a crafted file in the "caca" format. Depending on the build configuration and memory allocator, this may lead to memory corruption or remote code execution. This is the same vulnerability as CVE-2021-3410 but the fix at that time was not fully correct. Commit fb77acff9ba6bb01d53940da34fb10f20b156a23 fixes this vulnerability.
CVE-2025-21772 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-12 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: partitions: mac: fix handling of bogus partition table Fix several issues in partition probing: - The bailout for a bad partoffset must use put_dev_sector(), since the preceding read_part_sector() succeeded. - If the partition table claims a silly sector size like 0xfff bytes (which results in partition table entries straddling sector boundaries), bail out instead of accessing out-of-bounds memory. - We must not assume that the partition table contains proper NUL termination - use strnlen() and strncmp() instead of strlen() and strcmp().

CVE-2024-50015 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-05-12 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: dax: fix overflowing extents beyond inode size when partially writing The dax_iomap_rw() does two things in each iteration: map written blocks and copy user data to blocks. If the process is killed by user(See signal handling in dax_iomap_iter()), the copied data will be returned and added on inode size, which means that the length of written extents may exceed the inode size, then fsck will fail. An example is given as: dd if=/dev/urandom of=file bs=4M count=1 dax_iomap_rw iomap_iter // round 1 ext4_iomap_begin ext4_iomap_alloc // allocate 0~2M extents(written flag) dax_iomap_iter // copy 2M data iomap_iter // round 2 iomap_iter_advance iter->pos += iter->processed // iter->pos = 2M ext4_iomap_begin ext4_iomap_alloc // allocate 2~4M extents(written flag) dax_iomap_iter fatal_signal_pending done = iter->pos - iocb->ki_pos // done = 2M ext4_handle_inode_extension ext4_update_inode_size // inode size = 2M fsck reports: Inode 13, i_size is 2097152, should be 4194304. Fix? Fix the problem by truncating extents if the written length is smaller than expected.
CVE-2024-9143 1 Openssl 1 Openssl 2026-05-12 4.3 Medium
Issue summary: Use of the low-level GF(2^m) elliptic curve APIs with untrusted explicit values for the field polynomial can lead to out-of-bounds memory reads or writes. Impact summary: Out of bound memory writes can lead to an application crash or even a possibility of a remote code execution, however, in all the protocols involving Elliptic Curve Cryptography that we're aware of, either only "named curves" are supported, or, if explicit curve parameters are supported, they specify an X9.62 encoding of binary (GF(2^m)) curves that can't represent problematic input values. Thus the likelihood of existence of a vulnerable application is low. In particular, the X9.62 encoding is used for ECC keys in X.509 certificates, so problematic inputs cannot occur in the context of processing X.509 certificates. Any problematic use-cases would have to be using an "exotic" curve encoding. The affected APIs include: EC_GROUP_new_curve_GF2m(), EC_GROUP_new_from_params(), and various supporting BN_GF2m_*() functions. Applications working with "exotic" explicit binary (GF(2^m)) curve parameters, that make it possible to represent invalid field polynomials with a zero constant term, via the above or similar APIs, may terminate abruptly as a result of reading or writing outside of array bounds. Remote code execution cannot easily be ruled out. The FIPS modules in 3.3, 3.2, 3.1 and 3.0 are not affected by this issue.
