CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fs: avoid repeated scans in evict_inodes()
We observed hung tasks when users attempted to unmount a filesystem
after its disk had been removed while still in use. During device
removal, fs_bdev_mark_dead() calls evict_inodes() while holding s_umount.
Each time evict_inodes() drops s_inode_list_lock to reschedule, it
restarts the walk from the head of s_inodes. With many referenced inodes
at the head of the list, these restarts repeatedly scan the same inodes
without reclaiming them. This can keep s_umount held for a long time,
blocking concurrent umount attempts and triggering hung-task reports.
Keep the current inode, already marked I_FREEING, out of the disposal
batch until s_inode_list_lock is reacquired. Resume the walk from this
inode and dispose of it in a later batch or at the end of the walk.
The zero-refcount and state checks under i_lock allow this walker to
claim the inode by setting I_FREEING and removing it from the LRU.
Other reclaimers skip the inode, leaving this walker responsible for
eviction. Only evict() removes it from s_inodes, so keeping it out of
the disposal batch ensures that it remains on the list while the lock
is dropped. After reacquiring the lock, reading its current next pointer
accounts for concurrent removal of following inodes.
The existing inode lifetime rules prohibit acquiring a reference to an
inode marked I_FREEING or I_WILL_FREE. __iget() requires its caller to
hold i_lock and establish that taking a reference is valid. Inode lookup
and igrab() check these flags under i_lock when acquiring a reference
from zero. ihold() requires an existing reference, which would keep
i_count nonzero and prevent this walker from claiming the inode. These
rules already allow iput_final() and the inode shrinker to release
i_lock after setting I_FREEING and before eviction completes.
A temporary __iget() reference would also keep the inode on the list,
but its release must preserve last-reference handling. Another user can
acquire a reference, update lazy timestamps and drop its reference while
the pin is held. If the pin becomes the last reference, dropping it with
atomic_dec_and_test() and evicting directly bypasses iput()'s lazytime
handling and can lose those timestamp updates.
Releasing the pin with iput() preserves that handling, but does not
guarantee eviction. fs_bdev_mark_dead() runs with SB_ACTIVE set, so iput()
may retain the inode in cache, whereas evict_inodes() must evict eligible
zero-reference inodes. The inode may also have been freed when iput()
returns, so the walker cannot then use it to force eviction. Using
I_FREEING preserves the existing eviction behavior without introducing
an additional last-reference transition.
The xfstests auto group passed on ext4 and XFS with known unrelated
failures excluded. No new issues were observed, and the previously
reproducible hung task no longer occurs with this patch. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf, sockmap: Fix self-redirect copied_seq double-counting
When a BPF stream_verdict program redirects an skb back to the same
socket (self-redirect with BPF_F_INGRESS), sk_psock_verdict_apply()
calls tcp_eat_skb() which advances tcp_sk->copied_seq. However, the
skb is then delivered to the socket's psock ingress queue and later
read by tcp_bpf_recvmsg_parser(), which also advances copied_seq via
the copied_from_self accounting path. This double-counting causes
copied_seq to advance by 2x the actual data length, triggering:

Fix this by converting self-redirect verdict to __SK_PASS at the
beginning of sk_psock_verdict_apply(). This bypasses the
__SK_REDIRECT case entirely (which calls sk_psock_eat_skb), letting
the __SK_PASS path queue the skb to the psock ingress queue. The
data is then read via tcp_bpf_recvmsg_parser(), which advances
copied_seq exactly once through copied_from_self. Cross-socket
redirects continue through __SK_REDIRECT with sk_psock_eat_skb()
unchanged. |

| F´ (F Prime) is a framework that enables development and deployment of spaceflight and other embedded software applications. Prior to 4.2.0, Svc::FpySequencer STORE directive stack write validation the bounds check adds attacker-controlled offset and size before memcpy, allowing integer wraparound to make an out-of-range destination appear valid. When a sequence-controlled STORE directive supplies a stack offset and size whose U32 sum wraps, memcpy can write outside the sequencer stack, causing memory corruption, denial of service, and potentially code execution. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.0. |
| F´ (F Prime) is a framework that enables development and deployment of spaceflight and other embedded software applications. From 4.1.0 until 4.2.0, Svc::GenericHub output-port dispatch is vulnerable because the deserialized port field is passed to serialOut_out, bufferOut_out, eventOut_out, or tlmOut_out without an explicit range check. When a remote hub packet supplies a port index outside the configured output-port array, assert-enabled builds abort, while builds without assertions can access an output-port array out of bounds, corrupt heap memory, and potentially allow remote code execution. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.0. |
| Mongoose is an embedded web server and network library. Prior to 7.23, the built-in TCP/IP stack enabled by MG_ENABLE_TCPIP in src/net_builtin.c does not reject a TCP option whose declared opts[1] length exceeds the remaining option bytes. In handle_opt(), a NOP followed by a truncated MSS option causes opts[3] to be read outside the declared options area and used as the low byte of dmss. An unauthenticated remote peer can corrupt the per-connection MSS value so later mg_send() calls transmit truncated or zero-length application payloads while the TCP connection otherwise appears healthy. This issue is fixed in version 7.23. |
| Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in Apache Camel A2A component.
This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.21.0 before 4.22.2.
WebhookUrlValidator classified a push notification webhook host in two places that did not agree. A host written as an IP literal was matched against a list of string prefixes that named the IPv6 unique local range fc00::/7, while a host reached through a name was resolved and the resulting address classified with the InetAddress predicates isLoopbackAddress, isAnyLocalAddress, isLinkLocalAddress and isSiteLocalAddress. Those predicates do not cover the same ground as the prefix list: isSiteLocalAddress reports the deprecated fec0::/10 block and not the fc00::/7 unique local addresses that replaced it, and the JDK carries no predicate for them at all. The same address was therefore accepted or rejected depending on how it was written, and a webhook URL whose host name resolved into fc00::/7 passed a guard that refused the identical address given as a literal. PushNotificationDispatcher then sent the push notification to that address, together with any Authorization header carried in the same configuration, whose scheme and credentials the registering caller supplies. The webhook URL arrives as TaskPushNotificationConfig.url from the caller registering the push notification, so it is attacker-controlled, and allowLocalWebhookUrls is false by default, which is the configuration in which the guard is expected to hold. The response is not relayed back to the caller who registered the configuration, so what the gap yields is a blind outbound HTTPS request from the Camel process to an internal address the guard was written to refuse; reaching a service that way additionally requires that the name resolve into fc00::/7 in the target environment, that an HTTPS service be listening on that address, and that the TLS handshake succeed for the name being requested, which is why the severity is assessed medium. The same string pre-check was also wrong in the other direction: it matched the raw host string without first establishing that the host was an IP literal, so any name merely beginning with fc or fd, such as fcm.googleapis.com, was refused outright.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. If users are on the 4.22.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.22.2. The 4.21.x release line reached end of life before this issue was resolved and will not receive a fix, so deployments on it must move to a supported release. Both the literal and the resolved path now classify the address from its raw bytes with one shared classifier, which recognises fc00::/7 and the shared address space 100.64.0.0/10, as well as IPv4-compatible, NAT64 (64:ff9b::/96) and 6to4 (2002::/16) addresses whose embedded IPv4 address is not globally routable. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, place authentication in front of the A2A push notification configuration path so that the webhook URL does not arrive from an untrusted caller, and deny egress from the Camel process to fc00::/7 at the network level; where the deployment has no need of IPv6, starting the JVM with -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true removes the address class the gap turns on. Note that allowLocalWebhookUrls=false is already the default and does not by itself close the gap. |
| Lychee is a free, open-source photo-management tool. Prior to 7.6.1, POST /api/v2/Album::unlock has no throttle, attempt counter, backoff, CAPTCHA, or lockout. UnlockAlbumRequest::authorize() permits any caller to submit attempts, and app/Actions/Album/Unlock.php verifies each guess with Hash::check without limiting repeated failures. A remote unauthenticated attacker who knows or can obtain an album identifier can automate password guesses against a password-protected album and, if the password is recovered, gain access to its private photo collection. This issue is fixed in version 7.6.1. |

| Heimdall is a cloud native Identity Aware Proxy and Access Control Decision service. Prior to version 0.17.17, when Heimdall operates in proxy mode, it constructs the Forwarded HTTP header after executing the matched rule pipeline by inserting the incoming request's Host header value directly into the header string without sanitizing commas or semicolons. This allows an attacker to inject additional parameters into the Forwarded header, potentially spoofing IP addresses for upstream services. This issue has been patched in version 0.17.17. |
