CVSS v3.1 |
| Ghidra before 12.2 contains a numeric truncation vulnerability in PackedDecode::skipAttribute and skipAttributeRemaining in marshal.cc that stores 64-bit string lengths in 32-bit variables. Attackers can supply a crafted packed stream, such as a malicious .sla file, to inject attributes into the decompiler's input or crash the decompiler process. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows Text Shaping allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Wasmtime is a runtime for WebAssembly. Prior to 36.0.19 and 43.0.0, the Cranelift compiler backend bit-packs SSA value indices in a way that can silently overflow in release builds when compiling a sufficiently large or specially crafted Wasm function with many SSA values. The overflow can make Cranelift reference incorrect IR values, causing arbitrary miscompilation, type confusion, and other attacker-controlled effects that may escape the Wasm sandbox on any architecture using the default Cranelift backend. This issue is fixed in versions 36.0.19 and 43.0.0. |

| Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Client License Service allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
flow_dissector: avoid u16 truncation of skb->len when computing thoff
__skb_flow_dissect() computes key_control->thoff using:
key_control->thoff = min_t(u16, nhoff, skb ? skb->len : hlen);
min_t(u16, ...) casts both arguments to u16 before comparing them.
Whenever skb->len (or hlen) modulo 65536 is smaller than nhoff, the
truncated length wins and thoff is set to a bogus small value, even
when the dissection succeeded. For example, an IPv4/TCP frame with
skb->len == 65540 and nhoff == 34 gets thoff == 4, so callers such as
skb_probe_transport_header() point the transport header inside the
Ethernet header.
Such skbs are not exotic:
- At the time of commit d0c081b49137 ("flow_dissector: properly cap
thoff field"), AF_PACKET with PACKET_VNET_HDR could already build GSO
skbs larger than 64KB (MTU checks are skipped for GSO, and
alloc_skb_with_frags() accepted up to MAX_SKB_FRAGS (17) order-0
pages on top of the linear part).
- BIG TCP now makes skbs larger than 64KB common.
- The following patch makes tun_get_user() dissect IFF_TAP frames
before eth_type_trans() pulls the Ethernet header, so a GSO frame
carrying a 65522..65535 byte L3 packet will be dissected with
skb->len in [65536, 65549].
Compare as u32 instead. If the resulting offset cannot be represented
in the u16 key_control->thoff, cap it to U16_MAX and report the
dissection as failed rather than silently returning a wrong transport
offset. thoff is still set on failure, as some callers (such as
eth_get_headlen()) use it regardless of the return value. |

| Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Office Word allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Telegram rlottie Numeric Truncation Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Telegram. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the rlottie library. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a write before the start of an allocated buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-30207. |
| A Numeric Truncation Error vulnerability in the rpd process of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated network-based attacker to cause a denial of service via a BGP Prefix-SID route advertisement that is subsequently re-advertised.
This issue does not affect versions of Junos OS prior to 20.4R1.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Reject rdonly/rdwr_buf_size kfunc arguments that exceed u32 max
check_kfunc_args() detects a kfunc argument named rdonly_buf_size or
rdwr_buf_size and stores reg->var_off.value into meta->r0_size, a u64,
and does not bound it. check_kfunc_call() later copies that value into
the returned register's mem_size field:
meta->r0_size = reg->var_off.value;
...
regs[BPF_REG_0].mem_size = meta.r0_size;
regs[BPF_REG_0].mem_size is u32. A constant whose upper 32 bits are set
gets truncated instead of causing a load-time rejection, so the verifier
records a PTR_TO_MEM register with an approximately 4 GiB mem_size for
whatever allocation the kfunc returned. A later access check against
that register uses the truncated, wrong bound.
Reject rdonly_buf_size/rdwr_buf_size values that exceed U32_MAX at the
point meta->r0_size is set. |
| Numeric truncation of the buffer length in the MPU buffer authorization check in FreeRTOS-Kernel V11.3.0 and V11.3.1 on the Arm Cortex-R82 (Armv8-R AArch64) MPU port might allow, under certain conditions, an unprivileged task on MPU-enabled builds to read or write privileged kernel memory beyond the validated buffer window, via a stream buffer system call.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version V11.3.2 or later. |

| Heap-based buffer overflow in DNS Server allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| There exists a vulnerability in SQLite versions before 3.50.2 where the number of aggregate terms could exceed the number of columns available. This could lead to a memory corruption issue. We recommend upgrading to version 3.50.2 or above. |
| Numeric truncation error in Microsoft Graphics Component allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| The OCI delta stream parser read sizes as guint64 but passed them to GLib I/O and allocation functions expecting gsize (32 bits on 32-bit systems), causing undersized allocations while subsequent operations use the original 64-bit size, leading to heap buffer overflows. An attacker controlling an OCI registry can craft a delta stream that triggers this during flatpak install/update, potentially achieving code execution on 32-bit systems. |
